Listing Description

Gwern Borter Country ManorA very warm welcome to Snowdonia
In the foothills of the Snowdonia mountains in the beatifull Conwy Valley, close to the sea, there is a special place well known for it's peace and tranquillity. A place to relax and unwind or enjoy the many wonderful facilities that are found within the grounds and in the Snowdonia area.

Gwern Borter is set in ten acres of landscaped grounds with ornamental, organic kitchen and medicinal herb gardens and spinney. We take pride in retaining the Manor's 'Olde Worlde' charm. Our beautifully appointed period rooms include a Victorian 'four poster' bedroom, oak entrance hall and staircase with an intriguing collection of original oils and limited editions, making the Manor the ideal place to relax and unwind.

Gwern Borter Country ManorHaving spent much of our lives at a busy city pace, our aim was to create a perfect rural retreat. We offer the warmest welcome, personal service and a hearty choice of breakfasts. The Manor is run very much as a 'home' that takes guests where you will find all the ambiance of a good country house hotel.

Gwern Borter is surrounded by the forests, rivers, mountains and lakes of Snowdonia. It lies at the foot of the TalyFan mountain between the award winning village of Rowen (1 mile ) and the medieval walled town of Conwy (3 miles) with it's magnificent Edwardian castle and picturesque harbour. Our facilities include horse riding (beginners to expert), gymnasium and sauna, games room, children's' play area and pets' corner and our pond with ducks and geese plus a variety of day to day activities.
